This 1979 Volkswagen Type 2 is a right-hand-drive example that was brought to the US from England in 2025. It features a side-hinged Viking camper top, and the interior is appointed with convertible bench seats, a refrigerator, a sink, a two-burner stovetop, and a speaker system with a Kenwood CD stereo. Power comes from a carbureted 1,970cc flat-four linked to a four-speed manual transaxle, and additional equipment includes dual side mirrors, 14″ steel wheels, front disc brakes, a fold-out table, storage cabinets, and privacy blinds. This Type 2 was acquired by the current owner in 2025 and is now offered on dealer consignment with spare parts and a clean Utah title.
The Super Viking Camper was originally a competitor to Westfalia to become the go to conversion for VW busses. What makes them unique is the slide out shelf allowing for 4 full grown adults to sleep up top while 2 sleep below. These are very uncommon to find in such nice condition.

This bus is as unique as they come. The power steering makes it a dream to drive in tight spaces and the 2.0 engine gives it plenty of spunk to get you where you need to go. The interior definitely transports you back to a time when grateful dead was on the road and you were right behind them.
Its a unique experience being behind the wheel of this bus and I would love to take it on a trip.
